My Testimony

Before I received eternal life, I felt empty inside, and I was yearning to be filled with some sense of purpose.

I remember going to a Bible study and learning about these people called "missionaries" that would go and tell people in all nations about Jesus and His story. My teachers spoke of His love and His sacrifice He made for all who believe in Him as Lord and Savior. I saw the impact Jesus had on the lives of the missionaries and those they shared His story with. They were filled with something, something that I did not yet have.

I learned more and more about Jesus, who He is and what He has done for us. These missionaries were teaching people about eternal life through Christ Jesus. Through this Bible study I was able to see lives transformed and learned that I too can have eternal life through Jesus Christ. The emptiness I had felt inside was the absence of Jesus in my life. I went on to walk through the steps of Salvation and received eternal life through Jesus.

Now that I have eternal life, I live my life with a higher purpose, to bring glory to God in all I do, and a passion to share the love of Christ with others.

My sophomore year of college I went through a major transformational time. I had transferred to a much larger university, not knowing a lot of people I felt very alone. It was through my faith in Christ and putting my trust in Him that He filled the emptiness I had with joy. The time was not easy, but God used that time of emptiness to help me see my purpose for being where I was and that I was safe in His hands.

If my life were to pass right now, I know I will live eternally in heaven. My salvation is secure in Christ. He gave me grace that I did not deserve, He is merciful and just and forgives me where I fail. I know I am a new creation in Christ and nothing can separate me from His love.
