My Testimony of Receiving Eternal Life
Understanding the eternal life that I have in Christ gave me a different perspective on life, releasing myself from the bondage of temporal pursuits, and positioned me to receive God's blessings from being focused on him.
One benefit of having eternal life is that it allows me to have a different perspective on my time here on earth and focuses me on seeking after my God given purpose.
Prior to committing my life to Christ, I use to live life focused on receiving all of the temporal benefits from this life that I could obtain. This approach limited my relationships to how that person could benefit that pursuit and limited my treatment of myself and others as to not to interfere with that pursuit. That mindset cultivated unforgiveness, greed, loneliness, fear, pride and more in my life.
The confidence of my eternal life with Christ and all the blessings that come with that eternal life, allowed me to release those fears and desires knowing that this life is temporary and to refocus my goals on those things that don't decay.
