My testimony of how Jesus set me free

I grew up going to church and learning about God. When I was a kid my Dad got really sick, I was scared and started asking my parents questions about heaven. My Parents told me about Jesus and how he was God's son, who was a perfect human. He died on the cross for our sins. That day I prayed and asked Jesus to forgive me of sins and I believed in him.

After that as I grew up I began to live for him. I was not perfect but I tried. I struggled with always trying to be perfect and that left me feeling unworthy, I had health issues which left me feeling lonely. I was consumed with what other people thought of me and everyone liking me. I never believed God wanted to or could use me. Despite not feeling good enough and wanting to be approved by the world instead of God.

God continues to show me his love and uses me to share his love to others. I am not perfect and never will be, but I am thankful that I don’t have to be perfect and God always forgives me. When I asked Jesus to forgive me of my sins He did and continues to, and he has eternally saved me. If you want to be forgiven by Jesus and have assurance in eternal life through him.
