My Testimony of God’s Transforming Power

I have learnt and now practice forgiveness through God’s gift of forgiveness to me.

Around the time I received the gift of salvation I had a broken relationship with my mother; I would say to the point of hate on my side. Anyways, the Holy Spirit almost immediately began to convict me to make it right with my mother. This started with the seemingly small act of saying I love you at each grocery drop-off. This I did in obedience - only - even though it was a painfully hard and awkward experience for a long time. It would be years after, that the Holy Spirit prompted me to the fact that God had transformed me to such an extent that I had completely forgiven my mother and through that had restored fully our relationship.

As humbling as God’s grace was to attend to that level of detail in my life; I am even more humbled and thankful that He thought to reassure me of my eternal life in heaven with Him by explicitly writing it in His word.
