My Testimony

Before I met Christ, I struggled with the concept of having a father, as mine was absent during my life. I started living with labels and putting my identity into things to try to fill the hole that was created inside of me. I was lost, confused, and broken. I never understood why I wasn't chosen by someone who created me. Until I heard about Jesus, my heavenly father who sought me out, and wanted that relationship with me. Bringing me the comfort that he will never leave nor forsake me. Building a relationship with my heavenly father has given me the confidence of knowing I do have a father who cares for me and loves me unconditionally. He has helped me walk through brokenness and made me whole; he has given me hope and courage. He has led me to trust in his plan for my life and to walk in faith. I have full contentment and peace in my heavenly father, knowing he loves me.

Jesus has been an anchor in my life, helping me break and beat generational cycles of brokenness in my family; being able to choose Christ instead of addiction and other things has led me to accomplish things like graduating from school and pursuing a career, which has helped me grow in a closer relationship with my Savior. I am so thankful for the renewal of my life, and not having to follow the steps of my family.

The confidence I have in the Lord to be my rock, and carries me through hard times, and I know that regardless of what has happened in my life, I have a Father who will always show up for me, and love me through everything not matter what.
