My Testimony

Knowing I have eternal life makes everyday easier knowing that I have hope in every circumstance.

I remember a time when I was super stressed and anxious while watching a movie with my daughter. In the movie a parent abandons her child reminding me of my own childhood trauma. I had get up to walk out of the room from being so overwhelmed with anxiety and heart palpitations. After I calmed down for a minute I told myself I needed to go back to the movie with my daughter. When I sat back down I picked up my phone to distract me for a second. A song came on that couldn’t have due to the algorithm. It’s was a familiar Christian song to me that I loved but a version I had never heard before. In the middle of it the guys starts talking about how you loved by God and you are the apple of his eye. I immediately was comforted and peace washed over me.

The comfort and peace I got in that moment is something I get all the time from God. He’s so loving and good to his children. That’s how I know I will be with him forever when this life is over.
