My testimony
My story is about how God took me from emptiness, insecurity, and searching for satisfaction in the wrong places, to finding true peace, purpose, and hope in Jesus Christ. Through His love, I’ve learned that I am never alone, that my worth is secure in Him, and that even in life’s hardest moments, He gives me strength, peace, and the promise of eternal life.
Before I knew Jesus and began following him my life consisted of sleepless nights spent overthinking, lustful acts, feelings of loneliness, insecurity, and deep sense of emptiness.
I often felt stuck in my own head—constantly overthinking, giving in to things that left me feeling guilty, and battling loneliness and emptiness. I was very emotionally and impulsively driven. No matter what I did to distract myself, nothing really satisfied my soul. I always longed for something more. Then one night, I realized I couldn’t fill that emptiness on my own, so I turned to the Lord—and that’s when I finally found real peace and purpose.
I used to go to church, but it didn’t really mean much to me. It was just something I attended with my family, got to see my friends. One night, I felt a pull to actually read my Bible, and as I did, I realized God was real and speaking to me. That night I gave my life to Jesus on my bedroom floor and He gave me this peace and purpose I had never known before.
Since I have developed a genuine relationship with God I have noticed that I handle challenges differently. I can confidently say that God gives me strength when life is hard. He also helps me love others even when it’s not easy, and gives me peace and hope even when I mess up.
I’ve seen how the Lord sustains me even through loss. When I went through the pain of losing a relationship I deeply cared about, the old me would have been overwhelmed with loneliness, insecurity, and endless overthinking. But instead, God gave me strength and comfort to handle the heartache with peace and hope. He reminded me that my worth and purpose are secure in Him, and even on the hardest days, He motivated me to keep moving forward and to trust that He was working for my good. Though the hurt was real, the Lord carried me through it, proving that I am never truly alone.
I am confident that because I have placed my faith in Jesus Christ, I have eternal life, and one day I will be in His presence in heaven.
