My Testimony

Before I received eternal life of salvation through Jesus, I lived with lack of true purpose, just going through the motions of life.

I was young at the time, but I remember going to church because my friends did and it seemed like something to "do" on Sundays and Wednesdays but not carry over into the rest of the days of the week.

In August of 2016, I realized Jesus was not just a good man, but he was fully man and fully God and His life, death, and resurrection was for me. I acknowledged him as my Lord and Savior and I now know my life is sealed in Heaven with him.

Now that I have the saving grace of Jesus, I have a divine purpose. Everyday I get to live for the glory of God, be a light in the darkness, and reflect Him to other people.

My dad was diagnosed with cancer three months after I received salvation. Though it has been a tough journey with treatments and traumas, I have so much gratitude for life and I see the purpose in trials as testings of faith that produce perseverance. I can clearly see God's faithfulness to me and my family as we continue to seek the Lord and rejoice in His love.

I know for certain that because I trust in Jesus, nothing can separate me from the love of God. Not sickness, not sin, not even physical death. I never have to wonder about my security in Heaven because I know the Bible says it is by faith I have been saved through Grace, and this is not from myself, but it is a gift of God. (Ephesians 2:8)
