My testimony.
Just because you give up on your life doesn’t mean god is done with you yet. “We love because he first loved us.” 1 John 4:19
hi i’m saige, im 17 years and a Senior at St james high school and i attend Myrtle beach Christian church. I was 12 years old when my 4 month old brother passed away and i fell into a bad depression state i tried taking my life at the ripe age of 13 years old., but years after that i started hanging around the wrong people and my life went sideways. i was vaping, drinking and smoking my freshman and sophomore year of high school. i regret losing 2 years of my highschool career but that made me who i am today.
i remember the day that my brother passed away like it was yesterday. January 1st 2021. i had so many thoughts. but a year later the thoughts worsened. one of the people i trusted the most used my brothers death against me. he said “maybe next time tell your brother to live longer than a year” i thought to myself “it should have been me instead of him” “i’ve been here long enough and he deserves a life.” but it was to late. even though those words cut like a knife in my heart i still forgave. over and over and over again. in the bible it’s states “But if you do not forgive others their sins, your Father will not forgive your sins.” Matthew? ?6?:?15? ?
july 7th 2024 i gave my life to the lord and he forgave me for all the bad i’ve done.
After my baptism i stopped going to church. i have no idea what got into me but something did. or someone did. the devil was trying to ruin my life.
months after i got baptized i felt closer to my church and everyone in it. including our heavenly father. and the devil stopped trying to control my life, god said absolutely not.
I know i may have done some stuff that a living human being never forgive someone for but i know that god will ALWAYS forgive you no matter how bad you sinned. so im more than 100% sure that if or when i die i will go to heaven. just as the bible says “Be kind and compassionate to one another, forgiving each other, just as in Christ God forgave you.” ??Ephesians? ?4?:?32? ?
