My testimony
He never gave up on me.
I am so thankful that Jesus revealed my need of Him as my Savior at the young age of 10. Sadly, at the age of almost 16 with all the trials and temptations as a teenager, I was beginning to fall to temptations and was slipping into a more self absorbed lifestyle. A week before my 16th birthday, my God fearing Mother was killed in an automobile accident. This loss sent me into a greater state of rebellion. This loss also left me with no positive Godly example in my life. I spent the next several years living for myself and ignoring my Savior. There were several times I know He protected me from myself and others. There were even times of loneliness and desperation that I cried out to Him for comfort and He provided it. Only for me to return to ignoring Him and pleasing myself. I wasn’t honoring the Lord but He was always there for me. He never left me or forsook me.
While I was caught up in ingratitude, self pity, anger and arrogance, my Savior was still blessing me. In spite of all the awfulness in me, He blessed me with a sister and a new family. I am biologically an only child. Then blessed me with an amazing husband who shares a similar path in life and a step daughter. He has given me such grace.
About this time in my life I recognized God had been showing me tremendous Mercy and grace and I began to peruse a renewed relationship with Him. Since He has blessed me with 3 additional sons, 3 lovely daughter in laws and to date 5 grandchildren with 2 more in the way. I am blessed that some walk with the Lord and I am believing that the others will one day too. Over the years I have grown closer and closer to my Savior. He is no longer just my Savior, He is Lord of my life. Sure, sometimes growth has been fast and sometimes it has been slow. I am a real work in progress but God continues to remind me that He is God and nothing or no one is too difficult for Him. He is always here with me and He never leaves me. He is a wonderful Savior, full of Love, patience, forgiveness and Grace. I never know what tomorrow brings but I know who oversees it. I no longer have my birth parents with me but I have a Heavenly Father who will never leave me and He loves me so much that if I was the only person in the world, He would have went through it all at the cross just me. What a Savior
