God is a Father to the Fatherless
I'm glad I have eternal life because I know that God is my Father and He cares for me. I don't have to feel jealous of those with an earthly father.
I recall not wanting to go to church on Father's Day. I would feel so sad and jealous. Listening to all those stories of how a father would care, provide and protect their children. But now that I receive eternal life, I know that Jesus cares, provides and protects me. I have the assurance as Matthew 7:11 says, "If you, then, though you are evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father in heaven give good gifts to those who ask him!"
The same God who encountered me with love and sense of being cared for is the same God that will intervene in your life. I know that you also can receive His love as you receive eternal life.
