My testimony

God drew me to Christ and opened my eyes to the truth of the gospel through the work of the Holy Spirit at a very young age, I was set free from the bondage of sin and death, having died to my old self, and raised to newness of life as a new creation in Jesus Christ.

For years I struggled to live out my faith. Although I believed in Jesus and his work on the cross, I still found myself falling into temptation more and more. Although Jesus had bought my freedom I was continuing to lose the battle against temptation, living in guilt and shame. I eventually hit my breaking point when I realized that I no longer felt the presence of God in my life. I began to plead with God to reveal the steps back to him. He was faithful in granting me true repentance, and he ran out to meet me on the road as I returned home.

Now, My zeal for the LORD burns brightly. I may not have had a great grasp on what I was saved from when I made a profession as a child, but now, I am well aware of my own depravity, and the incredible grace of God. He sought me and bought me even while I was wicked, even knowing that I would continue to willingly sin against him. I cannot fathom this love that I have been shown. I have been forgiven seven times seventy. God has delivered me from sins that I thought I would never be free from. He has placed within my heart a love for him and his word and a desire to serve him forevermore.
