My testimony
My background was based more on fearing God, and was focused more on religion and not a relationship with God. I’m so thankful that I found Him to be a Loving God that shows mercy and grace. He is my best friend.
I was saved at a very young age. I believe I was about 7. I had kind of a traumatic life starting at the age of 6 when my father died. My Mother remarried when i was 10 & the next 8 years at home were very hard. I strayed from God during my teenage years. When I left for college, I didn’t care if I never attended church again. I wasn’t taught about the love and grace of God. It was all about Hell fire and all the things in life that you couldn’t do. When I found His grace and forgiveness for myself, I focused on a relationship and how He could be more than my Savior. He is my Person that knows ALL my faults and still loves me. I’m so thankful for God’s forgiveness and grace, even when I mess up, because I’m definitely not perfect.
Although I try to avoid certain circumstances, I’m thankful that when I’m put in situations when I’m tempted , God helps me to be an over comer.
I’m thankful for the peace of knowing that God is always with me and that I have the gift of eternal life.
