My testimony
clinging to Jesus
When thinking of eternal life, I think of comfort and peace. I know that with eternal life comes security that I have a loving, guiding, merciful father to get through this earthly life. That I am not alone.
Motherhood has shook me to the core at times and I can remember specifically a time when I was crying out to Jesus for guidance.. I NEEDED answers, or rather, I NEEDED God to hold me close and walk me through the situation. Even though I was facing very hard trials with my daughter, I clung to the promise of God being a rock, and security. I kept coming back in prayer, knowing he would answer my prayer in His own time and in His own way. And he indeed did answer my prayers in small and big ways. He allowed me to dig deep and remain patience and see my daughter through HIS eyes and he also led me to a larger answer that would eventually equip me to be a better mother.
That situation stands out in my mind because it was one time that I clung so hard to HIS promise and really felt his peace, even though I was so uncomfortable and scared and worried. Rather than search for answers on my own, try to handle it on my own, I felt really at peace placing my burdens at HIS feet and listening and waiting for his guidance. That peace is beyond my understanding and I know that that can only come from HIM. My journey with discovering and growing my faith has brought so much peace in my life. I am CHOOSING to have a relationship with HIM, rather than going through the motions, and at the end of the day, that bring so much joy and comfort.
