My Testimony

Before I received eternal life, I was plagued with worries and anxieties.

I remember worrying about my health and my personal financial matters.

Then I discovered how to have eternal life and to live differently.

Now that I have eternal life, I no longer fear death and I am at peace with God and myself.

I am encouraged by the scripture, "seek peace and pursue it", Psalm 34:14. In my life, I have had issues with people who offend me. I haven't been very confrontational, but I would be unforgiving. When I decided to move from the community I had lived in for many years, it was mainly because I wasn't comfortable with two of my neighbors. I left the community and I felt initial relief that I would not be seeing them again. As time went by, though, I felt that I had to go back and apologize to them, so that I could be at peace with myself. I did so one Sunday after church when the pastor preached a message on forgiveness. He invited persons to the alter, but I did not go, as I realized where I needed to go. I went straight back to that community, spoke with my two former neighbors and asked them to forgive me. That released by guilt, and increased my peace with them and God.

I am now confident of eternal life, as I have assurance from the word of God, that my sins are forgiven.
