My Testimony
I clearly can see the difference in the kind of life I am living when I am not trusting God and when I am trusting God. When I am not trusting God, my life is filled with uncertainty and chaos, and life is NOT peaceful. But when I am trusting God and leaning into Him, though there may be uncertainty and chaos in my life, my life feels much more peaceful and far less stressful!
I’m glad I have eternal life because I know that I can trust in God’s plan for my life and for my family.
Spending time away from God in my college years really rocked my world. While I still believed in God, I wasn’t trusting his plan for my life. I lived the way I wanted, and did what I wanted. I didn’t really read my Bible, and I did not go to church at all. When I went back to church and began reading my Bible and rebuilding the relationship I had once had with Jesus, I began leaning into him more and more. And this year, I was challenged to grow even closer to God in so many ways, through faith that Elli would be healthy, that my marriage would stay on the healthier side and not turn toxic, that we were making the right choices for Twylla and her education, and even that we were living where we are supposed to be living, and working where we are supposed to be working. In each instance, God has clearly spoken into the situation and made our decisions very clearcut.
The same peace that God gave me in those situations and in those decisions is something I experience all the time these days. I know without a doubt that God is walking along side me, guiding me, and that the choices I make are leading me to a closer relationship with him, all because he sacrificed his life so that I can spend eternity with him in Heaven.
