My Testimony
Knowing about to knowing personally
Before I began my relationship with Christ, I knew all about him, but never knew him.
I remember growing up and going to church nearly every Sunday and having all the "Sunday school answers" and thinking of myself as a good person.
Then at age 10 at a kids camp, I heard the Gospel of Jesus about how he lived a perfect life and then died on the cross for my sins. It was at that moment I understood that even though I knew a lot of answers and thought of myself as a good kid, I still had sin in my life that separated me from God. Jesus wanted me to see this and ask for forgiveness so that I could begin a relationship with him by allowing him to be my Savior and Lord.
I now did not only know about Jesus but began to know him personally and intimately.
For a while, I did not know what it looked like to be a Christian other than outward acts, but eventually, my relationship with Jesus grew and I began to know him on a very personal level.
Because of my personal relationship with Jesus, I know that when this life ends, I don’t have to fear and when I see Jesus face to face for the first time he will greet me with "Well done my good and faithful servant, Jesse"
