My testimony

I came to know Christ as a teenage it was not till my years as a young working adult that I truly appreciate and recognized the importance of having a personal relationship with Him. It is one thing to know about God but it is entirely different to truly have a personal relationship with Him. As I journey in my walk with Him, I learn to appreciate how important it is to know that I can turn to God no matter what the circumstances maybe, and that I am not alone.

As I graduated and started my career, I remember the great career aspirations and goals I wanted to achieve. While those achievements did come my way there was often fear of not succeeding and falling short of men's requirements. Thankfully God got my attention and reminded me that it was not about what I wanted, instead it was about what He wanted. It was not about the next promotion but the promotion that would come from Him. As I continue in my journey and career I learn what it is to let go and to trust in Him more than my own abilities, to recognized He is sovereign and He is in control and wants nothing but the best for me.

I know for certain that I am not alone in my journey with Him here on earth; and most importantly that someday when He calls me home, I also now know for sure that I will be with our Lord in heaven for eternity.
