My Testimony: How Jesus Saved Me

Before I received eternal life, I suffered from worry/anxiety, emptiness, lack of self-identity and lack of direction in life. I was completely lost.

I was born and raised in the church, but I never had a personal relationship with Jesus! I had barely ever read the bible and I honestly never believed it. I was always that kid who fell asleep in church. I said the sinner's prayer more times than I could count, but I never knew what it meant to be a true follower of Jesus Christ. I was just told to not have sex, worship idols and other things! I had never seen or felt God, so when I reached my 20’s I desperately searched for meaning of life and my purpose! I was introduced to New Age/Spiritual practices, A.K.A witchcraft, by someone who I met in 2018, after I graduated from college and moved back home to Tennessee. This was around the time I began to drift from my faith and question my belief in Jesus and Christianity altogether. This particular person appeared to have all the answers and was so sure about the meaning of life...or rather that was the illusion that this person gave off. This person showed me and explained that my doubts in Jesus were valid, and this gave me comfort and assurance that Jesus was NOT the way. The belief that I was “god” and could “manifest” anything I wanted was oh so enticing! Thus, went on a truth-seeking journey. I started worshipping anything that gave me a feeling! I dibbled and dabbled in several things over the next 3 years... I completely renounced my faith in God and found myself addicted to marijuana, sex, tripping on mushrooms to “feel God,” doing spells, addicted to astrology, burning sage, praying and meditating with crystals, trying to manifest money (I ended up BROKE by the way). This crap left me broken, lost and drowning in sin! I also fell deeper into fornication and I broke my own heart by falling in love with a man who pulled me further away from my calling.

I slowly began to see the lies of the enemy my last year involved with New Age. As I grew to know my mentors and others involved in witchcraft, I learned that they were living complete lies and worshipping themselves. The demonic activity involved in witchcraft and idolatry was revealed before my very eyes, and I began to see how deceived and mislead I was in a short matter of time. This entire dance with the devil lead me straight back to JESUS! I got re-baptized early 2022, and re-dedicated my life to Him. I will never waver again because I know truth now! The rabbit holes of sin go DEEP. I traded my ashes and Jesus gave me beauty. You are not too far and it is never too late to turn to Him.

I have since not only received Jesus as my lord and savior, but I am now a follower of Christ who is completely SOLD OUT to Jesus! I now have a peace like no other. The more I read, spend time and learn about the Creator of the universe, the more I fall in love with Him and his wonder! I am free, loved and chosen! Following Jesus does NOT mean that I have all of the answers by ANY means. But there is a peace like no other and certainty in knowing that my future, better yet my ETERNITY is secure. I certainty that I am on the right path of life and I know where I will go when I leave this earth.

I have several experiences to tell of how I have personally seen God work in my life, as well as the lives of others. Experiences where I look back and it’s clear as day that it was none other than God. I’ve personally experienced demonic attacks and every solitary time, it was ONLY the name of Jesus that saved me. I have seen God heal my body of sickness and disease. He has made a way when there was absolutely no way! He always shows up and he keeps his promises. I have experienced him speaking through my clearly through other people. He has met me at the depths of my despair, depression and loneliness, and he gave me a new hope. He mended my broken heart. There is NO other name but the name of Jesus! Darkness bows and demons flee at the mention of his name because they know they have already been defeated!

I can die any second, any day, and I am 100% certain that I will spend eternity in paradise with Jesus Christ. I am saved by grace, through faith.
