My Testimoney
I once was lost, but now I am found. Luke 15:31-32
Before I received eternal life, I was searching for fulfillment through worldly desires and relationships. I was putting my worth and value into human beings and how they felt about me, leaving me with a sense of emptiness and the feeling that "something was missing" in my life.
I was in an almost three year long relationship and slowly began to realize how unhappy I was becoming and and how the relationship was holding me back from starting a relationship with God. As I went to church more and more, the Holy Spirit kept tugging on my heart. One day, the message was about us not truly knowing Jesus and needing to change our old ways to be able to walk with Him and I just began to cry and realized that I needed major change and commitment in my life. I walked to the back where the cross hangs and people wait to pray for you and help you begin your spiritual journey and met a wonderful man named Randy who helped guide me in a positive direction to begin my dedication of my life to The Lord. Ever since that day, I've seen an amazing amount of change in who I am, because of Chirst working in me.
I soon discovered what eternal life means and the power of God's grace and began to live differently. I surround myself with different people and feel genuinely happy. I am optimistic and feel fully fulfilled and complete throughout my days because I know that nothing can separate me from God's love. Most of all I live my life knowing I am forgiven, for the past the present and the future, and I do my very best to live in accordance with God's word with the encouragement, wholeness & joy of knowing Christ as my Lord and Savior.
Now I only get my fulfillment from God and trust more and more each day that Christ is working in me and that their is a purpose for my life.
After my break up with my boyfriend, I began seeking negative attention from guys because I thought that would make me feel better and I felt lonely. Fortunately I was able to quickly realize and remember God's promise about having "life to the full" through Christ's sacrifice on the cross and I was able to truly feel my worth and the love of God enough to know that I didn't need attention from anyone; all I needed was Chirst's love. Since then, I've been independently seeking God's face and refraining from getting into any relationships or pursuing any romances until it is God's timing. I have trust that He is preparing the right man for me, so I am able to focus on my relationship with Christ more than anything.
If I were to die today, I know in my heart of hearts that I need not to worry about where I am going afterwards because I am promised eternal life and have the privilege of receiving an eternity in heaven because of My Lord and Savior and all he did for me.
