My story

Before accepting the Lord, I felt empty. I wasn't complete. I felt like I was surrounded by darkness and was always searching for something. Even though I grew up in church and knew the story of Jesus and the cross, I still felt lost and empty.

I remember searching for things and people that would make me whole. I hung out with the wrong crowd. I did things that I wasn't proud of. I was chasing Worldly things, looking for the fulfillment I was desiring, which I never received. I was going in the wrong direction and making poor choices that hurt and disappointed a lot of people along the way.

I received Christ and my life started to change. I had a feeling of love in my life I'd never felt before. I had a feeling of peace, but most importantly, that emptiness was now full! I felt I had direction and someone to look to.

Now that I've accepted Christ into my heart and my life, I no longer have to turn to the world for my happiness. My life has improved tremendously. I have a direction and I have hope. My eyes are fixed on Jesus (Hebrews 12:2).

I'm more at peace. I'm happier. I'm out of the darkness. I know God has a plan for me and I'm excited to see how that plan works out. Philippians 1:6- And I am certain that God, who began the good work within you, will continue his work until it is finally finished on the day when Christ Jesus returns.

Not only am I out of the darkness, I know I have eternal life and I will go to Heaven when I die. I will live forever in the Light!
