My story of salvation
Most of my life was characterized by setbacks, rejection and grief. When I accepted Jesus, I began a new life where through different stages I developed and still am developing an intimate relationship with the Lord. His Holy Spirit in me (John 1:12) is really working in me continually and because I trust His Word as Truth am assured that when I die I will go to heaven. Obedience to Him, His grace, mercy and love, trusting in Him are my assurance.
Before I received Jesus I was, insecure, self centered, suffered from the pain of rejection.
Before I received Jesus I was, insecure, self centered, suffered from the pain of rejection. I had suffered a lot of set backs, never finishing high school which I longed to do, I was rejected by siblings, friends that the pain was hard to bear to the point I had contemplated suicide.
Then I became pregnant and got married and an aunt of my ex husband and her pastor's wife led me to the Lord.
From that moment on I began to be part of a family, growing in the Word and the Lord. Years past and I kept growing in the Lord and my family was serving the Lord. Then sadly my husband chose to have an affair which resulted in our family splitting up. It was thereafter that our children and I experienced God's protection and provision and healing.
One high light was the miraculous healing of our daughter. She had fallen in the bathroom and was knocked unconscious. Her memory was gone, yet God was so good, he healed her in a week's time. Healing her bitter memories and filling her with love.
During that time, I prayed and He answered me and healed her. Another time I was crossing the high way when I fell headlong in front of oncoming traffic spraining my ankle. It was lunch rush hour, yet there were no vehicles on the road and I safely got up and walked home. Had I died, I knew He would allow me to enter heaven, I had trust Jesus and accepted Him as my Saviour (Jn 1:12) and was now His child.
