My story of being lost to knowing who Jesus truly is.
My conversion to coming to Jesus was quite eventful. I grew up in a somewhat cultural Christian home. My parents were Christian because they chose to get away from the catholic faith. I grew up just figuring I myself am a Christian when in reality I was very confused to who Jesus really was. I grew up wondering how there could be a God when I constantly had mis fortunes in my life. I was always quick to be angry but very slow to forgiveness and trust. However, that all changed when I found Jesus. I was pulled into Youth Group by a friend of mine and since that day the Youth Pastor continually poured into me and showed me who Jesus really was and what he did for me. Then why exactly there is so much chaos on the world. As I grew to know who Jeus was, I was still unsure of giving my life to him completely. Then while attending a church camp was when I encountered Christ and was called to surrender my life to him. Since then, I have spent my life pursuing Christ daily and am pursuing the call he has placed upon me.
Before I received Christ, I was very confused as of who God really is. I grew up in a cultural Christian home just knowing that being a Christian was good, but I never knew why. My parents just did so because they thought the same as I did.
I always remembered all throughout my life I was confused yet angry as to why certain things in my life happened. Before I knew who Jesus really was, I was always quick to anger and very slow to forgiving and trusting.
I remember going to a church camp after getting poured into by my Youth Pastor and encountering the love of Christ during camp. I at that moment accepted Jesus into my life and have walked from there on out.
When that day of conversion came, my eyes were opened to how the world really was. From that point forward, God made known to me that this world needs him and the crazy thing is that we get to join alongside him in that mission. I have been called into pursuing Youth Ministry where I will be in Christ serving the generations of those who do not yet know Christ so that in turn, they can be brought back to the Father just as my Youth Pastor did to me.
I remember when my grandmother had passed away, and I remember feeling this unsurmountable peace that I could not explain. Like I knew that she was there with God, and everything was going to be alright.
Ever since I gave my life to Jesus, it has not been an easy walk, but I can definitely say that through all things dark and bright, he has delivered me and has molded me into the man I am today and will continue to do so in the near future.
