My Story
Isaiah 41:10
Before I came to know Christ I lived a place of guilt, shame, and insecurity.
I remember being in my junior year of high school and living for worldly things and wanting and doing anything that I could do to fit it with the rest of the world. During this time I felt so lost and no sense of direction I was living for myself and only myself.
Then on a Wednesday night at youth group I was hanging out with my friends and we we're messing around doing things we shouldn't. We have a youth leader come up to us and start talking to us and the conservation lead to him sharing the gospel with us and how he wants to see us with him in heaven one day. After he talks with us about this he goes around and ask's each one of us "are you going to heaven?". He goes one by one asking this question and everyone responded with yes and then he got to me and asked the question "are you going to heaven?" and I responded with yes because are everyone else had done the same but then he asked the question again and without hesitating i responded with no. After this interaction all I could think about was that I did not have a relationship with Jesus and I had not put my faith and trust in him. That Sunday after my connect group I pulled my small group leader aside and told him about the interaction the other night and that I wanted a relationship with Jesus and he walked me through a prayer to accept Jesus into my heart that morning.
Now that I have a relationship with Jesus I have hope and I know that God has a plan for me.
I am currently a senior in college and gradation is quickly approaching and there are a lot of unknowns about what life will look like once I graduate but I don'e fear this uncertainty because I know that God has a plan for me and that he lead me where he wants me.
Even though there is uncertainty in life I do not fear because I know that my God will not abandon me and he will lead me.
Your testimony matters too
