My Story
I am loved by a God that desires to have a relationship with me. God seeks to know us and bring us into relationship with Him. God has paid the price for our sin and has a plan for our lives if we just have faith and turn to him!
Before I accepted Christ as my savior, I was very depressed and felt as though I had no worth. I had grown up in church and had those influences but I was raised in a family that seemed to stress just going through the motions.
There was a point in my college journey where I had transferred and was continuing to run from a life that honored God. This moment was in the middle of COVID. I was alone and all I had was my own thoughts. I was massively depressed and suicidal. I spent plenty of sleepless nights wishing that I would just die.
There was one weekend where I was invited to a worship night at Mobberly Baptist Church. I had grown up in church so I had a feeling what this was going to be like and I thought I knew the motions to go through. That night changed my life and I talked to the college pastor and gave my life to Christ. I felt as though for the first time in my life I truly accepted Christ and wasn't just going through the motions.
Since then my life has been flipped upside down. The Lord has freed me from the chains of depression and anxiety. My whole attitude of life has been changed. Everything I do is for the Glory and the Honor of God and his Kingdom. I am no longer just going through the motions, I actively pursuing a relationship with Christ and the plan He has for my life.
Before fully surrendering to Christ, I had spent countless nights in my own head and depressed. Since, accepting the mercy and grace Christ has offered me, I now have the peace and strength to battle those thoughts anytime they pop up in my head. I'm not afraid of anything that comes, not because I can fight it but because I have a God that will fight for me.
God has shown me mercy and grace by allowing me to come into relationship with him. I don't deserve this love but He has made me worthy and deserving.
