My Story
Life is full of ups and downs, good times and bad. But Jesus is unwavering. Sometimes we mess up but with Jesus there is grace. And its in this unwavering grace that we find that we have all that we need.
The eternal life that I have in Christ is what gives me peace in a sinful world. Knowing that I can do nothing to earn it but on the other had that there is absolutely nothing that will separate me from the love of Christ. That's amazing!
I had, what I consider now, the privilege of growing up with christian parents who took me to church. I remember when I was 9 years old coming home from church with questions. I had heard about heaven, hell, salvation, sin and forgiveness and I knew that I needed Jesus in my life. I asked my mom about forgiveness and going to heaven and she sat me down and walked me through bible verses about God's way for salvation. I prayed that day in our kitchen for Christ to forgive my sins and to give me His free gift of eternal life.
I know my salvation is true because I have continually seen God's faithfulness and hand over my life for the past 31 years. His continual guidance, protection, forgiveness, discipline, provision, grace and love are things I've experienced through my adolescence, college, marriage, on to foreign mission fields and now in New York. As a 9 year old boy I trusted Jesus with my life, the best decision I've ever made!
