My Story- Kason Medley
I was involved in the church, but I didn't get saved until my sophomore year of high school. I always believed in Christ, but I didn't show it publicly until I was in high school.
Before I received eternal life, I had trouble with grades in my sophomore year of high school and I was not in a good spot with life in general in my first half of high school until I actually paid attention in church when I went with my family. At the same time period as this, I struggled with friendships, I wasn't involved with the right people and it did not help that was I was not involved in anything outside of school at this time.
I remember that at this period in time, I got into youth group with my church and I got saved at my church before Covid had started and now, I am in college and living for Jesus every day. Before I got into a relationship with God, I was not in a good spot in my life, and now I am with good people in my life whoI have considered family. I found hope and a brand new life in Jesus.
I received eternal life when I was 15, almost 16 years old in my sophomore year of high school. I felt like I received eternal life when I had gotten in a closer relationship with God in all of the hard times I had faced with loneliness that I had felt when I was bullied by a kid in my school who always gave me a hard time all the time during lunch when we ate together.
The result of receiving eternal life, I am now living every day for Jesus. I was in a lonely place in my life, but I got closer in my relationship with the Lord. Another result of receiving eternal life, I am helping some of my friends get in a closer relationship with God and helping them on their journey.
I used to sit at lunch by myself looking for people to sit by but all of my friends had a different lunch period than mine so I had to find some other people to sit by so that I didn't feel lonely. I am one to feel weird if I am by myself in a place where I can look around more.
My life has changed since I became a strong Christian and involved myself in the Word. I will have eternal life when I go to heaven because He has forgiven me for my sins and wrong doing. I believe that Jesus died so that we could live eternally.
