My Story from Sinner to Saved
I was taken to church from birth. I came to believe and accept Jesus as my savior at the age of 9. On Mother's Day, May 9, 1969, I walked the aisle in my church to publicly accept Jesus as my Savior. I have tried to follow God to the best of my ability but I know when I make a bad choice I can ask for God's forgiveness and I believe that He does forgive me. For that I am blessed. Now my understanding of my relationship with God has grown and changed from the early teaching that when I messed up I was actually turning away from God and heading back down the road to hell. If I didn't ask for forgiveness that I could spend eternity in hell. I am so very thankful that I have learned that I cannot loose my salvation. God is so good.
I am so glad to have eternal life because I know that God is always with me. His love is unconditional and He shows mercy which gives me peace and strength to face tomorrow. I am blessed to have a family that loves and cares for me and I know this blessing is from God. I trust in God's plan even when I don't understand it
During my teen years I tried to make the right choices which left me with a small group of friends that were also Christians. There were times in college that I would end up with people making choices that I didn't agree with such as drinking. With God's help I would always stand firm in believe and convictions.
I have peace about God as my father and trust that I will have eternal life. I trust God's promise of eternal life and when I pray asking God for healing or guidance I believe with all my heart, mind and body that He will answer my prayer in His timing. For example I prayed for healing for my mother if it was God's will and I believe He healed her by taking her to heaven.
