MY REDEMPTION STORY

Before i receive eternal life, my life was filled with emptiness, no purpose, I was addicted to alcohol, I drink nearly everyday, very insecure, filled with anger, very temperamental, never trust anybody and very bitter; especially with the family i came from; I have been terribly hurt because i was born into a polygamous home where there is no love but self centeredness and hatred. Life was a struggle for me because of lack of financial capacity to plan for future, I was afraid of my own family because I don't know who is who but I thanked the Lord God Almighty that He brought a change into my life in October 1984 precisely. I was walking down the road one evening, dressed in a light blue short sleeve shirt on top of a black pant; very dejected and broken. I was walking in opposite direction to a Church building called "GOSPEL CENTER"; something stopped me; I was motionless for almost 20 -25 minutes at the same spot and i heard that gentle voice, come here. It was on thursday, the Church has no service for that day, I looked at their service time and could not wait for Sunday morning to come. I came their on Sunday without knowing what to expect but that was the day I heard the Gospel message that turned my life to Jesus, I walked down the isle to the alter, knelt down and cried like a small baby. I left that place with an inner peace in my heart, my life was changed, I begin to trust the Lord with my life, my confidence and been secure grew everyday, his joy filled my heart everyday, I began to tell my friends about Jesus, I couldn't curtail that within me. Desire for God become a priority in my life and the Lord started blessing me, now heaven is my goal and to live for Him while I am here.

I have not really been in a position of thinking how will i make it since i accepted the free gift of salvation, eternal life through Jesus, my Lord. I have faced many difficult moments in my life but he always see me through. I had a heart problem in 2009 but he healed me without no doctor through prayer, he has healed me of gall bladder stone without no surgery or medication , high blood pressure was dealt with by him from my body. He has saved me from armed robber, untimely death, just to mention a few

The day I went to the Church called "GOSPEL CENTER' was the day change came into my life. I heard about my sins and the consequences that goes with it, I heard about Jesus through only who my sins can be forgiven because he paid for the penalty of my sins and only through him i can get to God Almighty the Father and heaven by believing and trust him. I accepted that day and believed in the Lord Jesus and that was how my life got changed, my drunkenness gone, couldn't drink again, all the guilt within was taken away, instead I have peace in my heart always.

Now that i have eternal life, I am not afraid of death or future, my future is in the hand of the Lord

One faithful night; I suddenly developed a very serious pain all over my body, I couldn't sleep, I got down from the bed to lay on the floor but it wasn't better, I tried to sit down but all the same, I actually thought I was going to die, so I told the Lord, if you are ready to take me now to you, just take me, i don't want to experience any pain, I started to examine my heart if there is anything i need to give to Jesus before he takes me away.

I am ready by his grace to be with Him, even if he chooses to take my life now; for i certainly know for sure I have eternal life.
