My Personl Testimony
I was searching for love in all the wrong places until I met Jesus at a Catholic Charismatic prayer meeting. I was filled with the Holy Spirit and given a personal relationship with Him.. My life was transformed in a dramatic way. I was filled with His love, grace, and joy. I had a thirst for scripture, read it and understood it. My life of anger, resentment, and insecurity has changed to one of forgiveness, love, confidence and peace. Relationships with my husband, children, and others have been restored. I have assurance of His unending love for me, confidence I can face all of life's challenges with Him, and the promise of eternal life because Jesus is my Lord and Savior.
Before I knew Jesus as my savior and had a personal relationship with Him, I was struggling in my marriage, was a hurt, bitter, resentful, angry person. My life was empty. I was insecure, had low self-esteem, absorbed in my problems to a point where my husband and family were suffering neglect. When I found Jesus and and was filled with the Holy Spirit I experienced the wonderful presence of God in my life, His love and joy. I had a thirst to read scriptures and understood it. My anger, resentment, bitterness changed to forgiveness, kindness, and love for my husband, children, and others. I was able to have faith to face my fears and problems, grew in confidence and strength in the Lord, secure in His love for me and assurance of my salvation.
I have learned to accept, love, and respect my husband, even though we may disagree about some things. My husband is no longer an idol who I look to to meet my needs. God is first in all things. I go to Him with all my needs. The Lord has taught me to listen more, talk less, accept others for who they are, speak kindly. I have sought forgiveness from those I have hurt and have changed my behavior toward them. My husband and I are friends. Relationships between children are healed--happened over time with love and patience, some trial and error, and God's unending forgiveness and grace.
I received Jesus at a Catholic Charismatic Prayer Meeting and my life was transformed.
Jesus died for me, he has forgiven my my sins, and promised me eternal life. I have confidence in His love for me.
I had courage to face my surgery without fear, with calm and peace. Outcome good.
I have assurance from Him, from His word, and from experiencing Him in my life that I will be with Him one day in heaven. I look forward to that!
