My Personal Testimony
I know I have eternal life from listening to the preaching of the Word in church and singing the songs of Heaven's assurance. My husband of 49 years sudden death of a heart attack and how I felt the Holy Spirit led my church sisters and brothers for help in move and their concern for my happiness showed me how great our fellowship together will be in Heaven and being there to praise, sing to, and worship together with Jesus as He said in the Bible and His disciples that He was going to prepare a beautiful place for us in Heaven where we would have eternal life with no more tears, sickness, or evil people and that He was going to create a new Heaven and Earth where we would live for and with Him doing the things He has prepared for us to do!
I'm glad I have eternal life because I have felt God's presence always with me.
When my husband after 49 years of marriage, and having lived next door to his Christian family from childhood, died suddenly of a heart attack at home, I missed him terribly, but immediately I felt drawn by the Holy Spirit who gave me peace and security by help through His servants in my church to get my house ready for sale and assisted with the move--from cleaning, packing, and moving things to my new residence. God brought me the perfect buyer through a deacon in my church who was the realtor of my home within 3 months on the market. When I got up each day and drove my car after 12 years of mostly sitting as a passenger as my husband had driven, and asked Him to be beside me in the car to assure me of my safety, He was, and wherever I was in any situation all I needed to do was ask Him to be with me. I was glad that I knew that my husband's soul went immediately to Heaven with Jesus and with all our other family members and friends who were waiting for him and me. So hearing the preaching of the Word, singing beautiful songs of Heaven, and participating in Holy Communion in church became a very powerful reality of Heaven!
The same peace and actually feeling the active presence of the Holy Spirit guiding each of my steps in walking in God's direction for me with the Holy Spirit at my side for the rest of my life on earth at a stressful time in my life made it a reality that when God is ready for me to depart this earth He will be beside me on my soul's trip to Heaven and be raised, as He was, when He comes again in my new eternal body to reside in our new home in the new earth with Him.
