My Personal Testimony
I used to rely on my husband to make me happy and satisfy me, until I realized that there is only One who can truly satisfy; Jesus.
Before I received eternal life I always felt like something was missing in my life which eventually affected my marriage.
About 8 years ago I had decided that I was unhappy in my marriage and the best thing for everyone involved was to just get a divorce. So, I told my husband I was leaving. We then told our son, and I began making preparations for my son and I to move out.
Before I moved out, my husband asked me if we could do one last thing together, "pray?" Reluctantly I agreed, and my husband shared with me how I could receive eternal life.
From that moment on, I realized that I could no longer rely on my husband to make me happy. I now had someone who would never disappointment me and would always be there for me; Jesus.
My marriage isn't perfect, but my husband and I are celebrating 22 years of marriage this year. God now uses my husband and I to help other married couples who are going through similar struggles in their marriages because we have been through the valley ourselves and He lifted us out.
It's an awesome feeling to know that no matter what I am going through, whether in my marriage, at work, or just in life, I have a God who loves me unconditionally and one day when I die, I will get to spend eternity with Him in heaven.
