My Personal Testimony
God has created us for relationship with Him. We may spend our lives trying to fill that need with things of this world, but no person or thing will ever be able to fill the deep longing inside us for relationship with our Creator. We need to surrender ourselves to Jesus and the work of the cross, inorder to receive forgiveness and atonement for our sins, so that we may be reconciled to our Father in Heaven and also receive the gift of eternal life that he has purchased for us.
I know that I am going to Heaven to be with God forever, and not going to be punished in Hell for all my sins
I used to try and find satisfaction and fulfillment in the things of this world but they would only provide short periods of happiness and no long term fulfillment. I came to realise that all that this world has to offer is not worth pursuing with all your heart as nothing will fill the deep longing inside of us but relationship with God as he created us with the need that only he can fill. What scared me the most was when one day I wondered what would happen to me if I were to die as I did not know for sure that I would be going to Heaven and I knew I had done lots of bad things that God should punish me for. I knew I needed to get right with God and surrender myself to Him and His Will. Since doing that I know it was the best thing I could ever do as He can satisfy us beyond what we could ever get from anything in this world and the greatest thing is having the assurance of eternal life and knowing that I will not have to pay for my sins one day because Jesus took it all upon himself for me.
I know from what the Bible tells us about eternal life, that he who believes in the Son of God and the work of the cross, will have eternal life and not be condemned for their sins. John 3:16 "For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life"
Your testimony matters too
