My Personal Testimony
How I found peace regardless of my circumstances.
When my triplet boys were born I became very anxious and worried.
Two of my boys had received a diagnosis of severe autism. In addition to that their biological mother (my ex) decided that this wasn't how she thought her life would turn out so she left the boys and me. Suddenly, I was a single parent of triplet boys, two with severe disabilities. Life felt "out of control" and I felt very overwhelmed.
I started praying. And in the Bible I read a passage where Jesus said, "Come to me all of you who are carrying heavy burdens and I will give you rest." (Matt.11:28) That day, I acknowledged that Jesus died on a cross for me. I made a decision to surrender my life to Him as my Lord.
Now, I have an inner peace regardless of my circumstances because I know that God will give me the strength and wisdom that I need for each day.
I don't have to feel anxious, worried, or overwhelmed any more.
