My Personal Testimony

Growing up in NY I felt something important was missing in my life.

It seemed like I was living in a vacuum and that God was very distant and unknowable. Even though I attended a local church, I had a lot of unanswered questions about God. I suffered from short term periods of depression and hopelessness.

Then I heard a pastor explain how a person could be reconciled to God, know God and have eternal life. That morning, I prayed and God answered my prayers. He made me His child and changed my life.

Now I no longer have feelings of hopelessness. God took it away. The Bible says the God of hope fills us with joy and peace, that we abound in hope by the power of the Holy Spirit (Romans 15:13). God is no longer distant but He is near to me and loves me unconditionally always. Also, I found the answers to the questions I had about God in the Bible, which became clear to me.

I have peace knowing that if I died, I have eternal life.

So, if I died tonight, I know for certain that I will be with God in heaven.
