My Personal Testimony
I grew up in the church and knew the story but I realized at the age of nine that wasn't enough!
I am glad I know Christ as my savior because no matter what life throws my way I have the assurance of eternal life.
I recall sitting in a revival one Friday at the age of nine. It was during this revival that I first started to think about eternal life. The pastor closed his message talking about eternal life. I suppose he didn't even say anything that I hadn't heard before because I grew up in the church. However, it hit me for the first time. I began to ask my parents a lot of questions and I started to realize there was nothing I could do to earn this gift. I couldn't simply live a good live but I had to trust that Jesus was enough. Several days after the revival I made the decision to excepted Christ as my Lord and savior. I can now say my hope is in Christ and Christ alone. I now live with the assurance that I do have eternal life only because of Jesus and what he did on the cross for me.
The same peace I received the day I accepted Christ, I now live with every day, because I know without a doubt that I will spend eternity in heaven.
