My Personal Testimony
Before I ever accepted the gift of eternal life, I was a horrible person. I was empty inside. I tried to fill that emptiness with sin. But after receiving God's gift, I was filled with his grace and love. Now I live knowing I have the gift of eternal life.
Before I received eternal life, I was full of emptiness, guilt, and I was bored of life.
I remember running around and doing things that could hurt me. I would jump off buildings and run in front of cars to see how much fun it would be. I would steal food and toys for friends and for myself, but all of this would still be bored and empty. I didn't have a father and my mom was living a bad life. I was taken away from her along with my brother and sister. I was told that we were taken away because she couldn't take care of us. I was put in foster care and we went from home to home. I would get visits from my mom but after a while, she never showed up. I thought it was because she didn't want to see me. I felt like nobody wanted me because no one wanted to adopt us. After being in foster care for 2 years, I was adopted by my current parents. I was adopted at 8 years old. They taught me about eternal life.
After a couple years, I received the gift of eternal life and began to live my life differently.
Now that I have eternal life, I'm filled with the Holy Spirit, I enjoy life, and I know I'm forgiven.
On December 1, 2012, I accepted God's gift and now I don't try to do things that could hurt me. I remember driving with my dad and he wasn't paying attention. When he looked up, the light was red, there were cars in front of us. He dodged them and then dodged a semi. I then felt the Holy Spirit with us. I enjoyed the experience know that God was with us.
The gift the Jesus offers is the one of eternal life. I know that if I were to die today, I would go to heaven because I have his gift eternal life.
