My Personal Testimony
Later I became a member of a church that taught EE. I signed up, learned how to share my faith with others and for five years I trained others how to share their faith. I am now a full-time pastor and PhD student of Theology and I am blessed to help even more people come to know our Savior and Lord I Jesus Christ as their Savior and Lord. To God be the glory for ever and ever.
Before I received eternal life I was afraid of death.
I remember standing in a barracks shower one evening while stationed in Cuba, showering. I coughed and when I tried to breathe I couldn't. Being paralyzed with the fear of dying, I couldn't move of call for help. I thought my body would be discovered lying on the floor with the water still running. Then I prayed, "God, if You let me live I promise I will stop smoking." Immediately I began slowly breathing. I immediately left the shower.
I began reading the Bible. It was in reading the Bible that I discovered I can have eternal life. Discovering that I have eternal life slowly changed me.
Now that I have eternal life, I no longer fear death.
During Desert Storm/Desert Storm I was stationed onboard USS JOH F. KENNEDY, an aircraft carrier. We were ordered to deploy to the Middle East. Specifically, our position was the Red Sea. From there we launched our aircraft into Iraq. When the President officially declared war, I was very excited. Partly because defending our country and its interests was my duty, but mainly because I knew that I had eternal life.
Confident that I have eternal life right now, when I die I know I will be with Christ in heaven for ever!
