My Personal Testimony

I am so thankful for the gift of eternal life because I know that God has a plan for my life. Even when other people fail me or things in life seem to be spinning out of control, I know that God is in control and that He is always with me.

I have always been a huge family girl. God has blessed me with a wonderful, loving family that I cannot even imagine life without. In my senior year of high school, my dad found out that he was going to be stationed in Okinawa, Japan. WOW! Talk about a major life change! My dad left right before my graduation and my mom and younger sister shortly followed him, leaving a week after they moved me into my dorm for my first year of college. On top of this, my big sister and her family moved to California that same summer. My only other close family was my grandparents who lived in a different state. In the midst of adjusting to this new situation and learning how to be a college student at a huge University, my boyfriend of 5 years broke up with me. This time in my life was very difficult and really turned all the plans I had made upside down. But through this storm, I learned to cling to the promise that God will never leave or forsake me and that He has a perfect plan for my life. Trusting in His will and allowing Him to guide my steps and future has been so freeing. I am so thankful for a God who loves me and gives me purpose and direction in my life.

The same strength and peace God gave me in that situation is something I experience everyday of my life. I know without a doubt that God is always with me and that I will spend eternity with Him in Heaven.
