My personal testimony

I’m glad I know I have eternal life because it give me God's unconditional love, hope, joy and second chance.

I grew up in Hong Kong. Because of the missionaries brought the gospel by serving people. They started hospitals, charities and schools. There are more than half of schools in Hong Kong are Christian or catholic. We have Bible class and chapel to learn about God. I became Christian in a graduation camp in elementary school. I remember, one night a speaker talked about eternal life, I was so moved. I told God that I wanted eternal life. However, after graduation, I didn’t go to church because I didn’t go to a Christian school. When I went to college in Taiwan, I started to go to church again. It must be my childhood experience what I learned from school. Although, I left church, I still know God is love, God is my helper. During my formative years in college, I had good friends, mentors helped me to know God, build up my faith and have a place to belong. That really helped me find hope, joy, peace and purpose in my life.

So I believe in Jesus in 12, plugged back in church at 18. Now I am 50. I know I might look young but I’m not that young. Thought all those years, because of the grace and love of God, I know for sure I have eternal life. Eternal life does not only means we go to heaven when we died. Bible says “Whoever hears my word and believes Him who sent me has eternal life”. That means It begins at the moment of genuine faith.
