My Personal Testimony
As a child, I wasn't sure that the grace, power, peace, love and Fatherhood that God and Jesus showed to me was available to me. But as an adult, I know that I am loved, cared for beyond measure, and can share my story so others can meet the Jesus and God that I know and love.
Before I received Christ I was just a normal kid. Never got to go to church, raised in a mostly single parent home. Understood right from wrong but did not know the joy of salvation.
My best friend and her family started taking me to their church. I learned about the Bible and Jesus. I was even in the Youth Choir. I felt like an outsider, an imposter, until Jesus drew me in and God showed me He was the father figure I had always yearned for.
While at church, I had been feeling the call to go to the front and profess my acceptance of Jesus as my Savior. Actually, the adults around me felt they should pressure me into doing it, since I had been attending church 3 times a week for months.
After accepting Jesus, I felt a peace, wanting to learn mire about Heaven and what God has planned for my life.
I went to Guatemala for 2 months. I was not fearful of new people and surroundings. I realized that everyone in the world are God's children, and He loves each one without respect of religion, race, or wealth.
I know that works without grace is not going to get me into Heaven. Trusting God in all things has made me a better person and I want others to know the peace I have in that knowledge.
