My personal testimony

Before I received eternal life I felt discontent with the direction of my life.

I remember one late evening coming home from a night club. I remember imagining seeing the justice scale in my mind. I thought, I rather have the assurance of being in right standing with God than continue my life without Him in a lifestyle of sin. I thought of a list of things, that I knew I would have to give up and for me it was worth it to have HIS peace. I also thought, in error, that my life would be so boring, but I didn't care, to me it was worth it. I remember moving back home with my Mother and one night after listening to the Christian TV show, 700 club, I totally surrendered my life to Him on my face in the dark in front of the TV. I literally felt a tangible weight leave me. When I woke up the next day, I realized I was a different person. My desires had changed drastically. All I wanted to do was read my Bible and go to church. I was so hungry for the word of God. Crying was a usual thing every time I was in a church. I was so grateful and thankful that He rescued me. I found the church I was supposed to be in and began to learn how to live by Faith. It has been a wonderful journey to walk with God, my whole identity is in Him. There is a supernatural peace and assurance that I have eternal life and I know that I will go to heaven when I die.

After I surrendered my life to the Lord, not only was I changed, I discovered that all my desires had also changed and I had the assurance of eternal life.

Not only do I have eternal life, I now know that I belong to Him and He actually lives inside me.

If you look at my life on a timeline, you would see many negative things before Christ and all these positive things that happened after I received Christ.

Since I received Christ in my life many years ago and with the confirmation of the scriptures, I know that I know that I have eternal life.
