My Personal Testimony

I'm so thankful for God's forgiveness and the work of His Spirit that has brought me freedom from my past.

I grew up in a Christian home and always wanted to follow God, but rejection, pain and questions from broken relationships caused me to give up on His people. During COVID I completely left the church, and joined different independent groups seeking to find a new way to 'be the church,' but neglecting to obey God's command to be in unity with the greater body of Christ. I did not have proper accountability, and began to tell people not to follow the whole Bible anymore. In my pride, I didn't see how wrong I was, and at one point, I found myself in a secret homosexual lifestyle, completely resisting Jesus. God continued to love me, and helped me walk away from my sin. I carried so much shame and lost hope that I could ever be useful to serve God. Inside I felt weak and afraid, but eventually I joined King's Chapel, and slowly became encouraged through community and prayer. God healed me, and changed how I see myself. I realized that He still has a good plan for my life, and I don't have to live with shame that He died to set me free from. I got re-baptized, and I'm still continuing to grow and find greater freedom. My past does not define me. God does!

The Holy Spirit in me is the promise of my inheritance from God. Not only is He here with me in power so that I'm never alone, lost, or stuck in the labels of my past anymore, but He says that I get to be with Him forever in heaven and He's given me a new name. I am a daughter of the King and I always will be.
