My Personal Testimony

Before I received Christ I felt lost and without a purpose. I was 45 years old, had a good marriage and an okay family life, but felt empty inside.

After each vacation or workplace achievement I was asking myself, "Okay now what else can make me happy?" Contentment never lasted very long.

My 14 year old son went on a church mission trip and came home saying he was born again. I doubted his transformation but I kept quiet and watched him become a different person over the next 18 months. He attended youth group and wanted to go to church every Sunday. One Sunday at church another mom invited me to Bible Study Fellowship. I bought myself a bible and by the 2nd week, I knew in my heart that this book is Truth. I had always been searching for Truth, being swayed by one person or another. But only God is Truth and this book started giving me an understanding of who He is and then who I am.

Now I have a contentment that fills the void in my heart. I have a purpose to live for Christ and share His love.

A friend of mine was dying of cancer and was in hospice. She asked me to read the bible to her while she closed her eyes. It was such a joy to be doing God's Work and to read God's Truths to her. The joy that I received in being used by God is so deep and immensely fulfilling.

I have learned the true character of God and Jesus, and now I am more confident in my purpose here on earth as well as being confident in my eternal life in heaven.
