My Personal Testimony

I was raised in a Christian home, but when I went away to college I wasn't sure what I believed anymore, so I thought, "I'll just study ALL the religions and decided which one I want to follow later."

Meanwhile, I focused on being super successful in school and work and lived my sinful private life the way I wanted to. Eventually, something terrible happened as a result of my sinful lifestyle, and it all fell apart, so I just fell on my knees and said, "God if you are real, you need to let me know now because I have nothing left." Then, I heard a still small voice telling me, "Take off your shoes." The next day, I opened my Bible and I read how God told Moses to "take off his shoes" because he was standing on Holy Ground.

Then I went to an Easter service and discovered how I could have forgiveness and eternal life.

Now that I have received eternal life, I have confidence that what I believe is true, my lifestyle has completely changed, and I live each day walking and talking with Jesus.

One of the biggest examples of this is when I realized I couldn't live my life working for a big oil corporation anymore. I went home and cried and prayed for guidance for three days. God told me he wanted me to teach and to teach every grade. Even though I resisted at first, I now teach at a school where I teach every grade just as he told me I would.

The best thing for me now is knowing that the full life that Jesus offers lasts forever. If I were to die right now, I know I would continue my adventure with him through eternity.
