My Personal Testimony
Knowing of Jesus isn't enough. Being saved by His grace is everything.
Before I accepted Jesus as my savior I was living a lie. I thought I was going to heaven because I knew about Jesus.
I was riding in the back seat of my Memaw's (grandmother) car listening to a conversation her and my sister were having about heaven.
I realized I would not be going to heaven without accepting Jesus as my personal savior. I panicked. I started crying telling my memaw I wanted to go to heaven and needed to get saved. As soon as we got home that day, I got on my knees and asked the Lord Jesus Christ into my heart. I knew I was a sinner heading for hell without him. I repented and felt like I could momentarily fly.
I was no longer living a lie. Now, I knew that knowing of Jesus wan't enough. I had to have faith and trust in Him for my salvation.. And to live like he was the king of my life.
I have had MANY ups and downs since being saved. I've suffered with loss, grief, depression and anxiety. But I always had hope because I knew Jesus was with me and that this life is temporary.
I have often thought about death, as so many people do. There is the worry about the loved ones you leave behind but then you get to thinking about eternity and get over joyed at thought of being with Jesus forever and ever.
Your testimony matters too
