My personal testimony

No purpose Or clear direction for my life. I wanted to know there was more to life than how I was living it. to recognizing God has a plan and purpose for my life.

I lived a good life but always felt like I was just going through the motions. When I accepted Christ into my life I felt a sense of peace and joy in my everyday life.

A friend asked me if I thought I would go to Heaven when I died and I sad yes, because I have lived a good life and have never been in real trouble. I help others. Then my friend said “ what I tell you that’s not going to get you to Heaven?” He then shared the gospel with me and talked about good works and being a good person doesn’t get you into heaven. He said I needed to believe in Jesus Christ and ask Him to Be in my life and lead me. I remember asking him, “really,.... That’s all it takes? Who is this Jesus guy?

Now that I have Jesus living in me for eternity, I have peace knowing He has extraordinary plans for my once simple life and that when I invite Him to lead me I can do all things He has planned for me. He wants to use me and that is such a humbling feeling.

I have a passion for helping people in need and I am able to do this through mission trips with church. I am always in awe seeing how He works in me and through me to show others love and compassion.

I had lots of questions in the beginning and I read the book “The Case for Christ” which answered my questions and I then I began reading the Bible which is God’s living word. I know now, without a shadow of doubt that I am a child of God, our creator, and I will be spending eternity in heaven with Jesus when I leave this world.
