My Personal Testimony
Seeing myself through God's love
Before I received eternal life I felt loneliness, discontent, worries and guilt.
I remember struggling through most of my younger years and also struggling with my first marriage. I had made a lot of selfish decisions which ultimately lead to my divorce and loss of custody of my girls. I had managed to fall away from the church and Jesus. I was full of hate, despair, depression, stress and anger.
About 6 years ago my path brought me to Michigan where I was surrounded by family, made lots of friends and married my husband Brad. While dating Brad I was introduced to the Heitbrink's during a game night at their home. As time continued we were opened up to discussion about religion, church and God. My husband was the first one to make the move to attend church and to be honest I only went because I love singing.
I began to grow through God's grace and love. In May of 2018 I was baptized as a Christian and have been transformed by God's word, works, and blessings.
The transformation did not happen over night, it took place over a span of 4 years. That day in May when I accepted Jesus into my life changed how I viewed myself, others and God. Many bad things can happen to good people. At the time I did not see anything good that happened because I was only focusing on the negative. But I have been blessed, provided for and loved through the grace of God since accepting him into my heart.
I am a child of Christ and never walk alone. Through his word I can take comfort in knowing that there is a peace in him and a love that is everlasting. Through him all sins are forgiven.
