My Personal Testimony
Christ changed my broken and lonely heart and showed me what true love is.
Before I truly found Christ, I thought I already knew Him. I was baptized at the age of 6 and I thought I was a good enough person. During my teenage years I began to feel very lost and lonely.
I remember being on a youth mission trip and feeling so broken. I was searching for someone or something to fix me because it was obvious, I couldn't do it myself.
I did not know that I was truly lost until one night at worship. The preacher spoke on sin and how sin separates us from Christ. He continued to mention how Jesus died on the cross for each of us and how Jesus has ultimate love and forgiveness. Being someone who searched for love in all the wrong places, that really caught my attention. I realized that I was so far away from God, so that night I fully gave my life to Christ. I gave Him all my problems, my doubts, and my built up anger. He then took it and changed my heart.
After finding Christ, a lot of the people who I thought were my lifelong friends, left me. The thought of being unaccepted or left abandoned use to be my biggest fear, but now I realize that God is the Only thing I need, and He will forever be with me. No human could ever love me as much as Jesus Christ. He laid His life down and took all of the pain for me. I no longer needed the company and acceptance from people because I know that the Holy One loves me and wants me. All of the sins I committed, that I was trying to hide, he took, and loved me just the same.
Christ is the same yesterday, today, and always. No matter who comes in and out of my life, no matter the obstacles I face, I do not need to worry because God is with me. I can do ALL things with Him by my side. He wants to handle my problems and He wants to take away my sins. All I have to do is hand them over to Him.
I hope that you will truly find the love of Christ and ask Him to be your Savior. Hand over your struggles to the Lord. There is nothing too big for Him to handle!
