My Personal Testimony
Child abuse can cause a life to be without purpose, but Christ's transforming power can bring purpose and change the direction of that life.
Before I received eternal life, I was an abused child and I had absolutely no purpose for living.
In spite of the trouble in my home, I felt God speaking to me often -through a dream, at church camp, and at church itself.
On the Sunday I felt God saying, "Now is the time," I went forward and received Christ as my Savior.
Since I received Christ, He has given me a definite purpose in life! I feel Him guiding me day by day.
I'm the youngest in a large family, but the first to go to college. I furthered my education so I could fulfill God's calling on my life to be a missionary. I also needed experience, so I went to Houston, TX to be a teacher. While there, I met a large Hispanic population, and I began learning Spanish, which God would use when I later went as a missionary to Mexico.
I know that I have eternal life and will live with God forever in heaven, not because of any work I've done for Him, but because the blood of Jesus has covered my sins, and He enables me to live for Him every day.
